Protecting internship reports from databases

Practical training is an integral part of the educational process at the VSP "RFK NUBiP of Ukraine", in particular, at the Department of Information Technologies. This year, the heads of the training practice in databases for the OPP "Software Engineering" Yakymchuk Iryna and Krupenya Vitaliy, when writing methodological recommendations for completing the training practice, used the experience they gained during their participation in the DAAD project No. 57649162 "Digit 3: Data collection and digitalisation with a focus on University Colleges in 2024" with HSWT (University of Natural Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf.

The main task of the students was to collect data for the development of a startup calculator for growing agricultural crops. During the internship, the students were invited to visit the HSWT teacher Vadim Petrenko (https://rfc.nubip.edu.ua/vyvchennya-dosvidu-nimechchyny-pid-chas-praktychnogo-navchannya), who shared the university's experience in data collection at a guest lecture. Therefore, on April 11, 2025, when the training practice of professional junior bachelors studying in the third year of the OPP "Software Engineering" ended, the results of practical training were presented.

HSWT lecturer Vadym Petrenko and lecturer of land management disciplines at the Higher School of Economics "RFK NUBiP of Ukraine" Nelya Rusina were invited to defend their reports. The following presented their projects:

– Bohdan Skydaniuk, student of group 31-IP, on the topic “Startup calculator for growing sugar beets”;

– Stanislav Bondar, student of group 31-IP, on the topic “Startup calculator for growing raspberries”;

– Oleksandr Kudelya, student of group 31-IP, on the topic “Startup calculator for growing buckwheat”;

– Maksym Borovyk, student of group 31-IP, on the topic “Beekeeping Startup Calculator”;

– Valentyn Mazur, student of group 32-IP, on the topic “Startup calculator for growing industrial hemp”;

– Yuriy Ohmak, student of the 32nd IP group, on the topic “Startup calculator for growing blackberries.”

According to the invited teachers, the students took into account the main factors of growing agricultural crops during the task, although the students' future profession is related to IT. But since the specialty of the OPP "Software Engineering" is the agricultural industry, the results of the practical research can be used and developed by the students when writing a course or diploma thesis.
