Academic integrity
Excerpt from the Code of Academic Integrity for Students and Teaching Staff of the Higher Educational Service "RFK NUBiP of Ukraine"
Violations of academic integrity in a professional pre-higher education institution, provided for in Article 42 of the Law of Ukraine "On Education", are:
- academic plagiarism;
- self-plagiarism;
- fabrication;
- falsification;
- copying;
- deception;
- bribery;
- biased assessment;
- providing assistance to students during their assessment of learning outcomes or creating obstacles not provided for by the conditions and/or procedures for such assessment;
- influence in any form (request, persuasion, instruction, threat, coercion, etc.) on a pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical employee with the aim of making him/her carry out an objective assessment of learning outcomes.
According to Article 26 of the Law of Ukraine “On Professional Pre-Higher Education”, in addition to those provided for by the Law of Ukraine “On Education”, there are:
- unauthorized collaboration;
- academic fraud;
- biased assessment.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR VIOLATIONS OF ACADEMIC INTEGRITY BY TEACHING AND SCIENTIFIC-PEDAGOGICAL STAFF OF THE COLLEGE
For violation of academic integrity, pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical employees of institutions of professional pre-higher education may be held liable for the following academic liability:
- refusal to assign, confirm or revoke an assigned pedagogical title or qualification category;
- deprivation for a period of one to five years of the right to participate in the work of commissions for the certification of pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical employees, for the accreditation of educational and professional programs, for the institutional audit of educational institutions, in the jury of student and student Olympiads and other competitions, in advisory and working bodies created by state authorities and local self-government bodies;
- inadmissibility to undergo certification for a period of three years, deprivation of the certificate;
- restrictions on the right to choose educational programs, forms of education, educational institutions, institutions and organizations, and other subjects of educational activity that provide advanced training for pedagogical (scientific and pedagogical) workers;
- adoption by the certification commission of a decision on the incompatibility of the pedagogical (scientific and pedagogical) employee with the position held;
- disqualification from participating in the competition for the position of head of a professional pre-higher education institution for a period of five years.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR VIOLATIONS OF ACADEMIC INTEGRITY BY STUDENTS
For violation of academic integrity, students of the College may be held liable for the following academic responsibilities:
- remark;
- notification to parents and legal representatives;
- re-taking the current, final and/or annual assessment;
- re-taking the state final certification and/or certification of applicants;
- retaking the relevant educational component of the educational, educational and professional program;
- deprivation of academic scholarship;
- deprivation of tuition benefits provided by the institution of professional pre-higher education;
- deprivation of prizes obtained in violation of academic integrity at school and student competitions, tournaments, Olympiads, and contests;
- expulsion from a professional pre-higher education institution.
