The primary trade union organization of students is a voluntary non-profit public organization of college students, the purpose of which is to represent and protect student, labor, socio-economic rights and interests of trade union members in state authorities, in relations with other public organizations, based on the principles of equality, dialogue, finding compromises, protecting the right of each trade union member to study, obtain a profession, etc.

It organizes its activities on democratic principles and principles:

  • voluntariness of joining and leaving the trade union;
  • the election of all trade union bodies from bottom to top;
  • freedom of discussion at the stage of discussing issues, respect for the opinion of the minority, and the obligation to implement decisions made;
  • reporting of all elected bodies to the trade union organizations that elected them;
  • collegiality in work, personal responsibility of leaders and members for the implementation of decisions made.

Carries out work aimed at organizational and financial strengthening of the trade union, fulfillment of statutory requirements.

Members of the union are students of the state form of education, students living in a dormitory, and students of the contract form of education.

All members of the trade union have equal rights, regardless of nationality, language, gender, political or religious beliefs, social status, or other differences.

Trade union members are able to receive one-time financial assistance once per calendar year.

The work of the primary trade union organization of college students regarding the socio-economic protection of the rights and interests of students is determined by the main areas of work:

  1. Makes proposals to the college administration regarding the improvement of living conditions, recreation, medical care, health improvement, and the development of student self-government.
  2. Controls the correctness of the calculation of scholarships and other payments to students.
  3. Together with the administration:
    • distributes the housing stock of dormitories;
    • promotes the development of educational, research, search, creative, intellectual, cultural and educational, sports and other types of activities of students;
    • decides on the distribution of the scholarship fund, the special assistance fund, and student incentives.

The effectiveness of the student trade union body is ensured by five commissions within the student trade union committee, the content of whose work and responsibilities are determined by the relevant regulations.

Commission for Public Control and Life:

  • At meetings, members of this commission consider issues regarding the state of the college's catering establishments and the improvement of their activities;
  • organizes systematic supervision of the work of the canteen;
  • considers issues regarding the results of inspections of catering establishments on various issues (standards for the release of goods and products, compliance with product storage rules, control over the correct use of weighing instruments and cash registers, compliance with work schedules, etc.);
  • Conducts periodic monitoring of living conditions in dormitories, repair work in dormitories, etc.

Health and Sports Commission:

  • assists in holding open college championships among students in volleyball, table tennis, chess, basketball, football and other sports;
  • promotes the participation of college students in various sports and mass events at the city-wide and interuniversity levels;
  • assists in conducting intra-university sports games, sports competitions and determines the winners among students.

Information Support Commission:

  • prepares and disseminates information related to the activities of the student trade union organization;
  • systematically analyzes trends in the student environment and studies students' requests.

Cultural and mass commission:

  • assists in organizing cultural and mass events taking place at the university;
  • supports the youth initiative of students in holding various student creativity competitions.

Audit Committee:

  • monitors the implementation of the budget;
  • assesses the correctness and appropriateness of the use of funds;
  • analyzes the work with applications and complaints of trade union members;
  • checks the state of trade union management.
