CONSTRUCTION DEPARTMENT

Head of department
PAVLENKO Oleksandr Ivanovych
The Construction Department was restored on August 25, 2023 by reorganizing the Technical Department, formed on September 12, 2011 on the basis of the Land Management and Construction Departments.
In the same year, in accordance with the conclusion of the Scientific and Methodological Commission on Jurisprudence of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, the licensed intake was increased from 60 to 75 people.
Training of junior specialists in specialty 192 «CONSTRUCTION AND CIVIL ENGINEERING» has been conducted since 1969. This specialty is one of the oldest and most popular at the college.
The graduation cycle commission of construction disciplines is responsible for the training of applicants for professional pre-higher and higher education (both professional junior bachelors and bachelors are trained) in specialty 192 "Construction and Civil Engineering". The chairman of the cycle commission of construction disciplines since September 2022 is a candidate of technical sciences, a teacher of the highest category Chorna Iryna Vasylivna.
To date, the cyclical commission of construction disciplines includes 14 teaching staff, including 6 candidates of sciences, 2 associate professors, the qualification category of 11 teachers is “higher category specialist”, 4 of them have the pedagogical title of “teacher-methodologist”, two teachers have the qualification category of “first category specialist”, 1 teacher has the qualification category of “second category specialist” and 2 – “specialist”. In addition, 4 part-time teachers work on the cyclical commission of construction disciplines.
The specialty "Construction and Civil Engineering" is divided into two specializations - "Construction and Operation of Buildings and Structures" and "Building and Structure Decoration and Building Design."
In 2012, Rivne State Agrarian College for the first time recruited students in the specialty "Building and Structure Decoration and Construction Design", and has already graduated three design technicians.
College teachers, who provide the educational process in the specialty "Construction and Civil Engineering", carry out systematic work on the use of modern learning technologies in the educational process. At the same time, they organize independent and individual work of students, manage the scientific and research work of students in circles, organize and conduct a week of construction disciplines, scientific and practical conferences, olympiads, quizzes, competitions, etc.
An important area of practical training for future construction specialists and designers is student research work, which is mandatory for every student within the curriculum and covers almost all forms of educational work:
- writing scientific essays on a specific topic in the process of studying special disciplines;
- completion of laboratory, practical, seminar and independent tasks, tests containing elements of problem search;
- performing atypical tasks of a research nature during the period of industrial practice;
- preparation and defense of course and diploma theses and projects.
Practical training of students in the specialty "Construction and Civil Engineering" is carried out on the basis of a cross-curricular program of practical training, which provides for the sequence and interconnection of students' familiarization with the practical application of professional skills in various construction organizations.
Knowledge and skills acquired and formed during the implementation of course projects and works in professional disciplines are further implemented in the relevant sections of the diploma project, which is a qualifying educational and scientific research of the student and is carried out at the final stage of college studies.
Higher category teacher, teacher-methodologist Iryna Dmytrivna Matkovska won the Pedagogical OSCAR for an interactive legal project
