It is difficult to imagine the modern world without information technologies. They are used in economics, business, education and other fields. Rivne Vocational College of the National University of Life Resources and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine has been training specialists in the field of information technologies for over 20 years.
The training of applicants for professional pre-higher education in the IT field is carried out by the Information Technology Department, which since 09/01/2001 has been training junior specialists in the specialty "Programming for electronic computing equipment and automated systems" at the Land Management Department (orders dated 08/08/2001 No. 226-SK and No. 227-SK), and in accordance with the order dated 09/01/2004 No. 109-OS, the Information Technology Department was established, which to this day trains applicants for the OPP "Software Engineering", the OPP "Cybersecurity and Information Protection", and later for the OPP "Information Systems and Technologies". Since 09/01/2024, the department has licenses to train specialists in four specialties of the 12th branch of Information Technology. therefore it is called the Department of Information Technologies (in accordance with the order “On the organization of the educational process in the Higher Educational Service “RFK NUBiP of Ukraine” in the 2024-2025 academic year” dated 02.09.2024 No. 139-OD.
2005 – graduates of the Rivne State Agrarian College, Department of Information Technologies, receive the qualification of a programmer technician in the specialty 5.05010301 "Software Development".
2016 – VSP “Rivne Professional College NUBIP of Ukraine” begins recruiting applicants for specialty 121 Software Engineering.
In September 2017, a license was obtained to provide educational activities for the Bachelor's degree in specialty 121 Software Engineering, and in September 2018, enrollment began in this specialty of the OPP "Software Engineering", which is now accredited.
In April 2019, the OPP "Software Engineering" was successfully accredited in the same specialty with a licensed volume of 100 people (per year).
In May 2020, the National Agency for Higher Education and Science successfully accredited the "Software Engineering" program for the Bachelor's degree.
The availability of new generation computer technology, multimedia systems, access to the World Wide Web, and WI-FI allow us to train not only a competitive, highly qualified specialist, but also a person with a high level of national consciousness and spiritual culture.
Thus, on February 9, 2022, a meeting of the Licensing Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was held. Following the results of the meeting, an order was issued dated 09.02.2022 No. 39-L “On Licensing of Educational Activities” according to which the Higher Educational Institution “Rivne Professional College of NUBiP of Ukraine” received a license to expand the educational activities of the college at the level of professional pre-higher education in the specialty 125 Cybersecurity with a licensed volume of 50 people (per year).
In this regard, the college has recruited applicants for specialty 125 Cybersecurity in the summer of 2022. Future students will be able to study for the Cybersecurity OPP, which was developed by cybersecurity specialists who have over 15 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity.
In early August 2023, a meeting of the Licensing Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was held. Following the results of the meeting, an order “On Licensing Educational Activities” was issued, according to which the Higher Educational Institution “Rivne Professional College of NUBiP of Ukraine” received a license to expand the implementation of the college’s educational activities at the level of professional pre-higher education in the specialty 126 Information Systems and Technologies with a licensed volume of 50 people (per year).
In this regard, the college has recruited applicants for specialty 126 Information Systems and Technologies in the summer of 2024. Future students will be able to study in the OPP "Information Systems and Technologies", which was developed by ICT specialists who have over 20 years of experience in the ICT industry.
On June 17, 2024, a meeting of the Licensing Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was held, as a result of which an order "On Licensing of Educational Activities" was issued, according to which the Higher Educational Institution "Rivne Professional College of NUBiP of Ukraine" received a license to expand the implementation of the college's educational activities at the level of professional pre-higher education in the specialty 123 Computer Engineering with a licensed volume of 50 people (per year).
Currently, graduates of the Information Technology Department of the Rivne Vocational College of NUBiP receive the qualifications of a professional junior bachelor in software engineering, a professional junior bachelor in cybersecurity and information protection, a professional junior bachelor in information systems and technologies, a professional junior bachelor in computer engineering, field of knowledge 12 Information Technologies. And since 2018, the department has been mastering academic disciplines in the specialty 121 Software Engineering, field of knowledge 12 Information Technologies at the first (bachelor's) level with a licensed volume of 30 people (per year). Training is carried out by state order, at the expense of individuals and legal entities.
Today, the IT department has over 530 students, and over 40 teachers provide them with fundamental theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The department has been headed since 2016 by Iryna Oleksandrivna Yakymchuk, a specialist of the highest qualification category, a teacher-methodologist who has been working at the college since 2002. She is responsible for the training of higher education applicants in the specialty 121 Software Engineering, graduation cycle commission of programming and information disciplines.

The head of the cycle commission is Oksana Alekseevna Kudelya, a specialist of the highest qualification category, a teacher-methodologist, who is a graduate of the college of the first batch of programming students. The cycle commission includes 28 scientific, pedagogical and pedagogical workers: six have a scientific degree, namely candidates of technical sciences: Kot Vasyl Vasilyovych, Babych Serhiy Vasilyovych, Maslyyak Yuriy Bogdanovych, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Bomba Andriy Yaroslavovych, Candidate of Political Sciences, Doctor of Philosophy Zabchuk Vadym Volodymyrovych, Associate Professor Ruden Denis Mykolayovych. The qualification category of nine teachers is “specialist of the highest category”: Mastalyarchuk Yevhen Volodymyrovych (graduate of the department), Nadozirny Svyatoslav Viktorovych, Chernyak Tetyana Grigorivna, Novak Yuriy Petrovych, Panasyuk Vasyl Oleksiyovych (graduate of the college). Four of them have the pedagogical title of "teacher-methodologist": Yakymchuk Iryna Oleksandrivna, Kudelya Oksana Oleksiivna, Novitsky Serhiy Bronislavovych, Matviychuk Tetyana Adamivna, one teacher has the qualification category "specialist of the first category" - Stryk Pavlo Mykolayovych (graduate of the department), one has the qualification category "specialist of the second category" - Kondyuk Serhiy Mykolayovych (graduate of the department). Specialists - Chernyak Vadym Andriyovych, Ushakov Mykola Igorovych, Dedyukhina Yulia Oleksandrivna, Krupenya Vitaliy Olehovych (bachelor's graduate of the department, who completed his studies for the master's program at the Faculty of Information Technologies at NUBiP of Ukraine), Romanyuk Mayay Volodymyrivna, Momotyuk Yevheniy Yuriyovych, Smal Vitaliy Ivanovych, Pavlovsky Taras Myroslavovych, Yanok Nazar Serhiyovych, Semenyuk Vladyslav Valentinovych.
Training in the specialties 121 Software Engineering, 125 Cybersecurity and Information Protection, and 126 Information Systems and Technologies is planned so that about 2/3 of the training time is devoted to practical training, during which students gain experience working in IT:
- application of design technologies;
- programming;
- set-up;
- testing software products, etc.
The world of computer technology is developing rapidly. Young talents are increasingly participating in this development. We help develop innate abilities and teach the necessary skills for working with information on a solid material and technical basis.
13 computer laboratories are sufficiently equipped with modern equipment (over 300 computers), technical teaching aids (interactive boards and multimedia projectors), furniture, and inventory to ensure the performance of practical work.
Great attention is paid to the organization of course and diploma projects. Students carry out projects commissioned by employers, thereby demonstrating their knowledge, skills, and abilities and contributing to further self-affirmation and employment.
