History of the Library and Information Center
The college library began its activities in 1956 together with the creation of the Rivne Agricultural College, which was reorganized from the Rivne Regional Agricultural School for the Training of Collective Farm Heads and the One-Year School of Collective Farm Accountants, opened in 1952. The first employee of the library was Berestova Nina Oleksandrivna, who worked as the head of the library from 1956 to 1964. The library fund in the first year of operation amounted to 3250 books, among which were not only textbooks and teaching aids on agriculture, accounting, statistics, but also encyclopedic and reference publications, fiction. The library fund was constantly replenished and a year later amounted to 5475 books. Some encyclopedic publications of that time have been preserved in the fund of the library and information center to this day. In addition to serving students and teachers, the library also held cultural and mass events, as reported in the work diary: book exhibitions, conversation-consultations, bibliographic reviews, reader conferences, etc. From 1964 to 1980, the head of the library was Romanenko Lidia Vasylivna, and in 1970-1973 - Prokopchuk Galina Klymivna. During the period 1974-1979, the following staff worked in the library: Redko Nataliya Heorhiivna, Klyots Sofia Pavlivna (years of work: 1976-1978), Asman (Kiselyova) Tamara Oleksandrivna (1978-1988) - librarian, later - bibliographer. The position of bibliographer was introduced in connection with the large volume of catalogs and card files, which became the main reference and bibliographic apparatus for searching for necessary publications. In the following years, the following people worked in the library: Stelmakh (Nymkovych) Maria Andriivna (1979-1987), Khalizova Tamara Grigorivna (1981), Lybak (Andrushchenko) Alla Mykolayivna (1981-1982), Korniychuk I. A. (1982), Pavlichenko B. Yu. (1983), Rybka Viktoria Romanivna (1983-1985), who in different years made a lot of efforts to develop the library and improve the quality of service to teachers and students of the Rivne State Farm Technical School.
A separate page in the history of the library was the work of a team of library workers led by Tarulina Valentina Georgievna (1981-1992). At this time, highly qualified specialists came to the library: Rynkova Alla Sergiyevna (senior librarian, position introduced in 1983), Martyniuk Raisa Mykolaivna. The college library became a methodological center for libraries of secondary educational institutions of the region, which were subordinate to the Ministry of Agro-Industrial Complex of the Ukrainian SSR. Librarian seminars were held at the proper level, and diverse methodological assistance was provided. In 1988, the library took 2nd place according to the results of the republican review-competition of scientific and scientific-technical libraries. In 1981, a public organization was created - the library council, which included teachers, students and library workers. In 1988, Alla Yuriivna Parfenyuk (Kondratyuk) came to work in the college library, and later headed it (in 1992-1994). Prykhoda Oleksandra Volodymyrivna (1992-1996), Valyukh Tamara Illivna (1992-1995), as well as Andriychuk Svitlana Vasylivna and Petrenko Halyna Ivanivna, who work to this day, also worked with her. Since 1994, the position of library manager has been held by Lyudmila Vasylivna Buryachynska, who had worked as a librarian since 1986. The library collection grew every year and in 1997 amounted to 41,400 copies of books.
Computerization of the library began in 1998 with the purchase of the first computer, and in 1999, an all-Ukrainian seminar of library workers of higher educational institutions was held at the library on the topic: "Computerization is the need of the hour." 26 libraries of universities of the western region took part in it. Later, a new creative generation of library workers was added to the library. These are Melnikova (Denysiuk) Marina Oleksandrivna (worked in 2003-2023), Horysiuk Iryna Petrovna (2012-2017), Kovenko Olena Sergiivna (2015-2016 and 2023). In 2003, the college purchased modern IRBIS software, which meets world standards. Since 2004, the library has become a member of the corporate association of IRBIS users. This is the Rivne Regional Corporation of Library Information System Users (RKBIS), whose goal is to create and maintain a regional electronic catalog of periodicals of the Rivne region.

In 2009, by combining the resources of the library and the laboratory of technical teaching aids, a library and information center was created with the aim of implementing state policy in the field of education and bringing the level of education in higher educational institutions of Ukraine closer to European and world standards. In addition to performing traditional information, educational, and training functions, the BIC provides students and teachers with access to world information resources, provides access to electronic versions of professional journals for all specialties, as well as its own databases: electronic catalogs, the E-library of educational publications and the College Repository. The college's library and information center employs 4 librarians, all with higher professional education (see the section - BIC Personnel).
