Educational legal advice
The Educational Legal Consultation of the Separate Structural Unit “Rivne Professional College of the National University of Life Resources and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine” has been operating for about 16 years. In accordance with the Standard Regulations on the Legal Clinic of a Higher Educational Institution of Ukraine, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 03.08.2006 No. 592 and in accordance with the Order of the College Director dated 20.02.2008, the Educational Legal Consultation began to function in the college.
The first head of the educational legal consultation was the teacher of legal disciplines, lawyer Shmerega Serhiy Vasilyevich. The general management of the educational legal consultation is carried out by the head of the land law department, Gulyuk Serhiy Ivanovych.
Educational legal consultation is a formation in the form of an educational and practical center, which is created and operates on the basis of a higher educational institution of I-III accreditation levels, which trains specialists in the field of "Law", is created at the initiative of the educational institution, which includes teachers and senior students.
The educational legal consultation is located in the premises of dormitory No. 2, located at 37 Dubenska Street.
The purpose of creation The purpose of educational legal consultation is to provide practical training for students of the land law department for professional activities, to help them understand the social importance of the legal profession and to solve social problems.
The task Educational legal advice is:
- ensuring an educational process aimed at students mastering the practical side of the legal profession;
- providing free legal assistance to socially vulnerable groups of the population and non-profit organizations;
- conducting legal education work.
Methods of activity Educational legal consultation is the direct participation of students in real legal practice under the guidance of teachers and (or) practicing specialists in providing oral and written consultations, drafting claims, petitions, complaints, etc.
Educational legal consultation combines two components, each of which is equally important. The first component is educational, the second is social. They complement each other. Moreover, if at least one of them is excluded, the existence of consultation will be impossible. Consultation is not just an educational method, but also a tool of social interaction, which allows you to effectively meet the need of society for free legal assistance, improve the legal culture of citizens, and therefore is a means of promoting the maintenance of law and order and legality in the state.
All citizens are equal in the protection of their rights. Due to the fact that the majority of Ukrainian citizens have the status of low-income people, it is impossible for them to draw up legal documents for a fee. Part 1 of Article 59 of the Constitution of Ukraine: “everyone has the right to legal assistance… Everyone is free to choose a defender of their rights.”
The main clients of the Educational Legal Consultation are pensioners, disabled people, students of our college, their relatives, mainly from rural areas, teachers and technical staff. A survey of visitors revealed that they learned about the consultation from students and teachers of the college.
We provide free legal assistance not only to socially vulnerable categories of citizens, but to everyone who needs it.
To receive a consultation, you need to visit us at the specified address.
We advise on the following issues:
- civil law,
- family law,
- labor law,
- housing law,
- in the field of human rights protection.
The work is carried out by student consultants under the guidance of lecturers-curators.
Stages of counseling:
- Stage 1 – the client's request for legal advice, discussion of his case, study of materials and documents related to the legal issue;
- Stage 2 – resolving the client's case, a joint decision on possible ways to resolve the issue;
- Stage 3 – repeated work with the client, which consists of providing legal advice on his case and the issues that arise.
By receiving legal advice, you will be able to:
- to defend one's rights and legitimate interests;
- to go to court correctly;
- to correctly and quickly arrange an inheritance;
- to lend money correctly and return it on time;
- to marry or divorce correctly;
- defend your rights when purchasing poor-quality goods;
- to properly formalize your employment relationship;
- protect your rights at work.
Ignorance of the law does not exempt us from responsibility. However, ignorance of our own rights deprives us of many opportunities.
Educational legal consultation is the most effective means of achieving the above goals. From the first days of the existence of the Educational Legal Consultation, students and teachers have taken as their credo the phrase “He who does not want, looks for reasons, and he who wants, for opportunities”. This is the main thesis adhered to by students and teachers of the Educational Legal Consultation of the Higher Educational Institution “Rivne Professional College of NUBiP of Ukraine”, which is an innovative educational program for law students, without which it is impossible to imagine modern legal education in an independent state.
Students of the Land Law Department actively participate in the work of the Educational Legal Consultation: they provide free consultations to low-income citizens, hold discussions and lectures on legal topics, and are active participants in conferences and round tables. They became participants in the round tables: "Novels of the Criminal Procedure Legislation of Ukraine", "Legal Education and Prospects for the Development of the Educational Legal Consultation"; scientific and practical conferences: "Intolerance of Violence and Cruelty in the Youth Environment", "Financial Relations and Financial and Legal Responsibility".
