The history of the creation of the legal department is interesting. In 1989, a new specialty “Jurisprudence” was introduced in the Rivne Agricultural College on a full-time basis, and in 1991, the same specialty was opened on a part-time basis. The opening of the specialty was preceded by quite painstaking and persistent work, because our college was one of the first educational institutions of the I-II level of accreditation in Ukraine to begin training qualified legal specialists. A significant merit in this belongs to the director of the college, Korsun Ya. P., who, in order to study the experience of implementing this specialty, visited several educational institutions that were already training lawyers, in particular, Chernihiv Legal College and Khodkovo State Farm College in the Moscow region.

From 1989 to 1993, training of lawyers was carried out for 1 year and 10 months, and since 1993, a new curriculum was introduced at the technical school, which provided for the training of junior specialists for 2 years and 10 months, which was dictated by the need for appropriate staffing.

In the same year, in accordance with the conclusion of the Scientific and Methodological Commission on Jurisprudence of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, the licensed intake was increased from 60 to 75 people.

An important factor in the achievements and gains of the Law Department is the creative, highly professional teaching staff of the cyclical commission of legal disciplines. Not only the quantitative, but also the qualitative composition has changed significantly. If at the beginning of its formation, the educational process at the department was provided by only a few teachers (Yatsyuk M.I., Kotashevsky O.V., Yunenko M.O.), then at present the cyclical commission of legal and social disciplines has 14 teachers, 9 of them have the highest category, 6 of them are teachers-methodologists, 4 are specialists of the 1st category, 1 postgraduate student, two teachers (Kupchyshyna T.V., Navoznyak L.M.) were awarded the badge "Excellent Education Worker of Ukraine".

Since September 1999, the head of the legal department has been Gulyuk Sergey Ivanovich. Higher education, graduated from Lutsk State Pedagogical Institute named after L. Ukrainka, 1993, Lviv National University named after I. Frank, 2012. Work experience: 24 years. In the circle of scientific and methodological interests: personalization of professional training, formation of social partnership and mobility of future lawyers. In 2006 he was awarded the badge "Excellent student of agricultural education and science".

Since September 2003, the head of the cyclical commission of legal and social disciplines is Olga Viktorovna Chornobryva. Higher education, lawyer, graduated from Chernivtsi State University named after Yu. Fedkovych in 1999. Work experience: 14 years.

Some graduates returned to college after graduating from universities, but already in the status of teachers, including a teacher of civil and family law, assistant director for personnel Yatkevych I.P., a teacher of constitutional law Matkovska I.D., a teacher of social disciplines Lukyanchuk S.V., a teacher of theory of state and law Basyuk O.P., and a teacher of financial law Hulyuk Y.S., who successfully transfer their knowledge to a new generation of law students.

College graduates are competitive in the labor market and find their place in today's difficult economic conditions, many of them hold high positions in judicial and law enforcement agencies, state authorities. These include, in particular, the head of the Department for Citizenship, Immigration and Registration of Individuals of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Rivne region Drapchynska L.A., the head of the Rivne Regional Center for Hydrometeorology of the Ministry of Emergencies of Ukraine Masovets B.P., Rogozin V.V. - judge of the Rivne City Court, Ivantsiv M.R., Kondratenko O.O., Ogorodnyk N.S. - lawyers, Kovalchuk I.V. - head of the Internal Affairs Department of the Kostopil District Department of Justice, Babyshkevych Yu.M. - deputy head of the Rivne City Department of Justice, head of the State Enforcement Service, Berezhnyuk V.V. - judge of the Commercial Court of the Rivne region, Kostrykin V.I. – notary of the Rivne city notary district, Moroz O.M. – senior inspector for special assignments of the professional training sector of the personnel management department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Rivne region, Opanasyuk O.I. – head of staff of the Economic Court of the Rivne region, Chekhomska O.I. – head of staff of the Rivne regional state administration, Yaroshchuk M.M. – vice-president of the Rivne Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yurchuk M.I. – judge of the Rivne Appeal Economic Court.
