National University of Life
and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine"
On March 6, students of the 11-D group, together with teacher Myroslava SOROKYA and BIT librarian Alla KALYUZHNA, witnessed another story of unconquered Ukrainians.
The event in the format of a living book was held in the Rivne Regional Library, the moderator of the event was Valentyna BENDYUG. Mariupol residents Bohdan DUZHYK and Maryna FESENKO shared their painful memories, feelings, and stories. They became living witnesses of the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine and eyewitnesses of the tragic destruction of the city of Mariupol, including the storming of the Mariupol Theater.
Bohdan Duzhyk is the head of the YaMariupol center in Rivne, and before the war he headed Mariupol School No. 40. Today, Maryna Fesenko manages the cultural projects of the YaMariupol center, and before that, she worked for over 30 years in the Palace of Culture of the Azovstal metallurgical plant.
The war came to our home, our country. Our cultural values, our national identity, our homes became the target of the enemy. And our enemy turned out to be a neighboring state, which mercilessly destroys everything Ukrainian in its path. Students with understanding accepted the vivid memories and appeals of Bohdan Duzhyk, who called on them to study history so that geography would not change.
We believe – everything will be Ukraine!
