Open lesson on the subject "Fundamentals of Ecology" on the topic: Protection of flora and fauna

11.03.2024 Stefania MALIMON held an open lesson on the discipline "Fundamentals of Ecology" on the topic: "Protection of flora and fauna" for second-year students of specialty 193 "Geodesy and land management" of group 21-Z.

Purpose of the lesson: to reveal the importance of the global problem of biodiversity loss, to introduce the state of flora and fauna in Ukraine, the causes of extinction of plant and animal species in nature, and measures to protect biodiversity in the world and Ukraine.

Type of lesson by content – informative lectureDuring the presentation of the material, various teaching aids were used, such as the electronic manual "Fundamentals of Ecology" and the educational video "Reserve Business".

Using electronic manual "Fundamentals of Ecology" The teacher revealed the importance of plants and animals in nature, introduced the plant and animal resources of Ukraine, the problems of rational use of forest resources, natural forage lands, and measures for the protection and rational use of the flora and fauna of Ukraine.

By educational film "The Reserve Case"", the authors of which are Stefania MALYMON and Vadym LYULCHYK, students learned about the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine and its role in preserving biodiversity and solving global environmental problems.

Invited guest Chief Specialist of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Rivne Regional State Administration Iryna KHUDOBA acquainted those present with the state of biodiversity in the Rivne region, the problems of preserving rare plants and animals, the creation of an ecological network and the nature reserve fund of the region.

During the class, students received the necessary knowledge to develop recommendations for preserving the biodiversity of their region and developing environmental protection measures in their diploma projects.
