On February 22, an open educational event “New Times, New Heroes” was held at the library and information center of the VSP “RFK NUBiP of Ukraine” for students of group 32-D, technical department.

On February 20, Ukraine annually celebrates the Day of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. The Revolution of Dignity became the largest protest in the modern history of Ukraine, a struggle of Ukrainian citizens for their rights and a democratic European choice.

The heroes of the Heavenly Hundred were 107 dead. They were of different ages, genders, and educations, from different parts of Ukraine and abroad. Among them were successful businessmen and pensioners. The oldest, Ivan Nakonechny, was 82 years old, and the youngest, Nazariy Voytovych, was only 17.
The Revolution of Dignity showed that Ukrainians not only chose the path to Europe, but were also ready to fight for it, defending their own rights and freedoms. The world began to perceive Ukraine as a state with its own identity, history, and dignity, capable of protecting its sovereignty.
Students actively participated in the preparation for the educational event, prepared a presentation, and recited poems dedicated to the Heavenly Hundred.
Head of the Library and Information Center, Buryachynska Lyudmila Vasylivna joined the educational event.
Today, in times of war, we must more often remember the fateful events that became a symbol of the struggle for freedom and dignity.
