On February 28, 2024, at the Higher Educational Service "RFK NUBiP of Ukraine", construction disciplines teacher Oleksandr Pavlenko held an open lesson for students of the 21-B group of the specialty "Construction and Civil Engineering" on the topic: "Construction of diagrams of longitudinal forces and normal stresses and determination of deformations in tension and compression" in the discipline "Strength of materials".
During the class, students actively participated in discussing problematic issues regarding tensile and compressive deformation and performing computational and graphical work.
The lesson used various forms and methods of working with students: explanations, demonstration of a presentation and video, and independent work.
The purpose of this lesson is to help students acquire the necessary practical skills for conducting design and verification calculations of rod structures for strength and stiffness. Performing practical tasks related to the definition and construction of diagrams of longitudinal forces and normal stress will contribute to the consolidation, deepening and generalization of the theoretical foundations of the discipline "STRENGTH OF MATERIALS", as well as to the development of students' skills of independent creative work in the process of their studies.
