EU INTERREG EUROPE PROGRAM: features, communication and secrets of success

The project “Support for the launch of the Interreg Europe/URBACT program in Ukraine” provided the opportunity for students of specialty 192 “Construction and Civil Engineering” to attend an information event held in the conference hall of the Diya.Business Center in Rivne.

The Institute of International Policy, together with the Department for Coordination of International Technical Assistance of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and with the support of the European Union and the International Renaissance Foundation, launched a project aimed at improving the awareness of regional partners regarding participation in interregional cooperation programs. The event was attended by Oleksandr GALAIKO and Anastasia ZAVATSKA, students of group 32-D, and the head of the cyclical commission of construction disciplines Iryna CHORNA.

The opening speech was given by Oleksandr KOVAL, Head of the Rivne Regional State Administration. Yana ROMANIUK, Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, described the main characteristics of the program and opportunities for potential Interreg Europe participants. Nadiya AFANASIEVA, Ukrainian Institute of International Policy, gave advice to potential participants on how to find partners and decide on the project topic.

During the event, the participation of educational institutions and specialized specialists in project management, international cooperation and economic development, regional and local development agencies, and non-governmental organizations in cooperation with European cities and the dissemination of best practices in the field of urban planning was discussed.
