The meeting was attended by ecology teacher Stefania MALYMON, land management teacher Nelya RUSINA, and students of the scientific circle “Dzherelo”.
The event took place in a cozy atmosphere that facilitated a fruitful dialogue between the author, environmental specialists, local residents, and students of natural sciences. In his opening remarks, Yakiv Didukh spoke about his motivation for writing this book: the desire not only to document the richness of the plant world of Vyshneva Gora, but also to draw attention to the importance of preserving this natural treasure - the northwestern point of the steppe.
The book is a unique scientific monograph, which describes in detail the flora of this region. Special attention is paid to rare and endemic species of steppe plants such as feather grass and steppe cherry. The author has presented interesting illustrations, maps and photographs that make the text accessible and interesting not only for scientists, but also for a wider range of readers.
During the discussion that followed the presentation, participants noted the ecological value of Vyshneva Gora as part of Ukraine's natural heritage. There were opinions about the importance of popularizing such research among young people and involving society in the preservation of unique natural complexes.
The presentation concluded with a book signing and informal chat. Many attendees noted that this work will be an important contribution to the development of environmental science and national identity.
