August 25, 2024 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Pavlo Zagrebelny, one of the most famous Ukrainian writers. Pavlo Zagrebelny entered the treasury of Ukrainian literature as a brilliant expert in his field, an unsurpassed master of the word. His works are studied in schools and universities. For his work, he was awarded a huge number of prizes and awards. Pavlo Zagrebelny's works have been translated into 23 languages of the world. With his tireless work and versatile original talent, Pavlo Zagrebelny brought Ukrainian literature closer to the shores of artistic perfection of European literary classics.

The writer's prose works have become favorites for many fans of all ages and have wide reader recognition even today. His civic position will always be an example for Ukrainians, and his work will inspire patriotism, intelligent actions, and life wisdom. Pavlo Zagrebelny considered himself a happy person, he said: "I am happy because I am read."
Pavlo Zagrebelny passed away at the age of 84. In addition to novels and short stories, he also left behind his own philosophy of life. He said that “we must live with passions. No, not those that are described in our sacred books. But with those passions that lead us through life. Live every moment of this life. Life is beautiful. The world is beautiful. And we are given the happiness of being in this world. Just to be in this world – and nothing more”…
Pavlo Zagrebelny left behind a very large library. He bought books throughout his life, especially when he received large royalties.
A thematic book exhibition "Pavlo Zagrebelny - incomprehensible, strange, independent" was presented to the attention of users in the college's library and information center.
