Every year on February 11, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science is celebrated by the UN.

On December 20, 2013, the UN General Assembly adopted the resolution “Science, Technology and Innovation for Development,” which noted equal access for women and girls of all ages to the achievements and development of science, technology and innovation as a key to ensuring gender equality in this area.
Two years later, at a regular plenary session of the General Assembly, a resolution (70/212) was adopted, proclaiming February 11 as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

It is worth noting that this became a new stage in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, known as the UN General Assembly Resolution “Transforming our world: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.”
On the occasion of this day, students of the 22-Z group of the land law department joined the educational event, which was held in the department of document services in foreign languages of the Rivne Regional Universal Scientific Library. The students watched a presentation in English about famous women of the world who had high achievements in the development of science and technology. There was also an interesting discussion on the topic of women's rights in modern society. The event ended with a quiz, where students were able to demonstrate their knowledge in various fields of science. The most active participants of the event: Diana Patsukevich, Vladislav Zdanevich, Lyudmila Yemets.
