Round table for departments and heads of cycle commissions in specialty 192 Construction and civil engineering of institutions of professional pre-higher education

On May 20, 2025, a meeting of the Round Table of Heads of Departments and Chairs of Cycle Commissions in the Specialty 192 Construction and Civil Engineering of Professional Pre-Higher Education Institutions "Training of Specialists in the Specialty 192 Construction and Civil Engineering for the Construction Industry of the Economy: Harmonization of the Labor Market and the Market of Educational Services" was held online on the basis of the Scientific and Methodological Center for Higher and Professional Pre-Higher Education.

Tetyana ISCHCHENKO, professor, candidate of pedagogical sciences, director of the Scientific and Methodological Center of the VFPO, delivered an introductory speech and welcomed the participants.

The round table was attended by:

• Mykola KHOMENKO, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Deputy Director for Educational and Methodological Work of the Scientific and Methodological Center of the VFPO with a report on the topic: "Features of Training a Professional Junior Bachelor in the Face of Modern Challenges."
• Vasyl Andreyev, Chairman of the Trade Union of Builders of Ukraine, with a report on the topic: "Employers' Requirements for the Training of Professional Junior Bachelors in Specialty 192 Construction and Civil Engineering."
• Valeriy Shpak, director of the private enterprise "Universal Engineering". With a report on the topic: "Employers' requirements for the training of professional junior bachelors in specialty 192 Construction and civil engineering."
• Anatoliy MATVIYCHUK, Chief Engineer of the Capital Construction Department of the Executive Committee of the Rivne City Council, with a report on the topic: "Employers' Requirements for Specialists in Working with the Unified State Electronic System in the Construction Sector."
• Alirza Mahmud ogli Mammadov, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Urban Planning, Head of the Department, Dean of the Faculty of Urban Studies and Spatial Planning, with a report on the topic: “Urban Planning as an Engineering Profession: What Should Future Applicants Know?”
• Ruslana TRYHUB, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Urban Planning, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Urban Studies and Spatial Planning of the Kyiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
• Pavlo CHERNIKOV, director of the Pryluky Technical Vocational College, with a report on the topic: "Cooperation between institutions of vocational pre-higher education with employers in modern conditions (from work experience).
• Svitlana RIBAK, head of the department of the VSP "Vinnytsia Professional College of Construction, Architecture and Design of the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture" with a report on the topic: "Harmonization of educational programs with the requirements of employers: how to improve cooperation between colleges and construction companies (from work experience)."
• Olga BULEYKO, Capt., Deputy Director for Educational and Production Work of the Vinnytsia Vocational College of Construction, Architecture and Design of the KNUBA, with a report on the topic: "Organization of cooperation with employers in accordance with labor market requests."
• Tetyana SOLOVYOVA, teacher-methodologist, specialist of the highest category, Poltava Vocational College of Transport Construction, with a report on the topic: "Ensuring the quality of the implementation of educational and professional programs through cooperation with employers and stakeholders (from work experience)."
• Yella MARCHUK, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the Kamianets-Podilskyi Professional College of Construction, Architecture and Design with a report on the topic: "Organization of educational and methodological work in the process of training a professional junior bachelor in specialty 192 Construction and Civil Engineering (from work experience)."

During the discussion, stakeholders shared modern requirements for graduates of specialty 192 in the OPP "Construction and Operation of Buildings and Structures", as well as the OPP "Equipment of Buildings and Structures and Building Design", as well as issues of integration of professional pre-higher education and vocational education.
