Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko is an outstanding Ukrainian poet, artist and public figure of the 19th century, who left an immeasurable mark on the cultural heritage of Ukraine. His work, particularly poetry, is known for its deep humanistic orientation and social sensitivity. Shevchenko recreated in his works the difficult life of the peasantry and ordinary people, exposing social inequalities and criticizing social injustice.

In addition to his literary activities, Taras Shevchenko also became famous as an outstanding artist, creating numerous paintings, watercolors, and drawings that reflected the life of the Ukrainian people.

Taras Shevchenko's life was full of hardships. He went through serfdom, political imprisonment, and emigration. However, his talent and influence on Ukrainian culture remain immortal.

On March 10, 2024, a flower-laying ceremony was held at the monument to T. G. Shevchenko, and a reading of the poet's poetry was held near the monument in the park named after T. G. Shevchenko, using photos and postcards. The goal: to involve the widest possible circle of young people in the study and respect of Shevchenko's words, and to search for young talents.

Students of the economic department (21-F group) and the general education department (12-Y and 11-Y groups) actively participated in the event. The event was organized by teachers Krystopchuk Tetyana Yevhenivna, Soroka Myroslava Yevhenivna.
