On March 20, 2024, the curator of group 31-P, Nazariy Vitaliyovich Svintozelsky, held a game-based educational hour with students of the same group on the occasion of the Day of Happiness.
The International Day of Happiness, established by the United Nations in 2012 by resolution 66/281, is celebrated annually on March 20. The purpose of this holiday is to recognize the importance of happiness in the lives of every person and to support the idea that the pursuit of happiness is common to all. The founders of the Day of Happiness believe that this holiday demonstrates that happiness is one of the main goals of humanity.
Interestingly, the initiative to establish the International Day of Happiness came from a small mountainous country - Bhutan. It is believed that the inhabitants of Bhutan are the happiest people in the world - champions in terms of the Gross National Happiness Index. As for traditions, there are not so many of them yet, because the International Day of Happiness is a very young holiday. As a rule, lectures and trainings are held on this day, the participants of which talk about the meaning of happiness for a person and share ideas for improving their lives. Presentations of books dedicated to the topic of happiness are organized. Educational institutions talk about the importance of a positive attitude towards life and others. And ordinary people simply send greetings to their friends and relatives with wishes of all the best.
During the educational hour, students played various board games: Uno, Memology, and 6 Seconds, had a great time overall, and chatted a lot.
We wish you to seek happiness in every minute of your life!
