Guest lecture on professional disciplines for entrepreneurs and managers

The beginning of the new academic semester became interesting and special for second-year students of the Economics Department, who are studying for the educational and professional degree "Professional Junior Bachelor" in the specialty 076 Entrepreneurship and Trade and 073 Management.

The lesson on the disciplines "Commercial Commodity Science" and "Technology of Storage and Processing of Agricultural Products" was held in the form of a joint guest lecture. The topic of the lecture was "Theoretical Foundations of Commercial Commodity Science. Assortment and Basic Requirements for the Quality of Food Products". A practitioner with many years of experience, Tetyana Anatoliivna Knapets, deputy manager of the store "ATB-market" No. 1201, located on V. Chervoniya Street in the city of Rivne, was invited to this lecture.

During the lecture, Tetyana Anatoliivna spoke about the history of the creation of the ATB supermarket chain and the place in the supermarket ranking that the chain's stores occupy in terms of the number of retail outlets and turnover. Currently, there are 10 such supermarkets in the city of Rin.

The students were interested in hearing about the career growth opportunities for ATB employees. Tetyana Anatoliivna came to work at ATB as a salesperson, after some time she was offered the position of merchandiser, today she is the deputy manager of the ATB-market store. ATB promotes career growth, formation and development of employees.

Working as a commodity analyst, Tatyana Anatolyivna encountered the need for knowledge of food production technology. Buyers are interested in what the product is made of, what ingredients are in it, and whether they can harm human health. To acquire the necessary knowledge, students study the discipline "Technology of storage and processing of agricultural products."

Tetyana Anatoliivna emphasized that consumers need exclusively high-quality products, therefore the quality management system in the ATB chain of stores is of decisive importance.

During the communication, the students and the practitioner discussed the discount system, the use of promotions, and innovations used in ATB.

Iryna Martynova, head of the economic department, teacher of commercial commodity science, Lyudmila Baldych, deputy director for academic work, teacher of storage and processing technology of agricultural products, talked with Tetyana Anatolyivna and heard her recommendations as a stakeholder on improving the educational and professional program "Entrepreneurship and Trade" and the content of special disciplines in order to form the competencies of a professional junior bachelor in entrepreneurship and trade.
