On May 24-26, 2024, students made a wonderful educational and tourist trip to the Carpathians.

The Carpathian Mountains are one of the most beautiful places in Ukraine that attracts tourists. Nature in the Carpathians captivates with majestic forests and mountains, rapid rivers and waterfalls, and a large number of unique herbs and flowers. Thanks to such beauty, you can get away from the everyday worries and problems that every person has.

All three days were full of various interesting events. On the way to the Carpathians, we visited a rock monastery in the village of Rukomysh, Buchach district, Ternopil region, which was founded in the 13th century by monks from the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra who were fleeing from Kyivan Rus from the Tatar-Mongol invasion.

Students visited a popular all-season resort in the heart of Carpathians, Bukovel. We rode the tallest Ferris wheel in Ukraine.

Jeeping is one of the most favorite attractions of young people, which allows you to see the Carpathians from a completely different side, to feel the real drive of mountain off-road. The children went to the "Sterishora Valley" from where wonderful views open from a height of 1100 m above sea level. On the territory of the valley there is a nine-meter high swing, which is very popular with students.

The students conquered Mount Khomyak, one of the most popular mountains in the Ukrainian Carpathians. It belongs to the Gorgany mountain range, its height is 1542 m.m. The very top of Khomyak Mountain is completely covered in rocks. It was really cool! We saw everything – sun, snow, hail, rain!

At the end of our trip, we visited "Polonina Pertsi". This is both a Hutsul amusement park, a kind of museum of Carpathian color, an art object, and just a wonderful place to relax. This ethno-park is made in the style of a Hutsul village. Students took part in Hutsul dances, sang songs and played musical instruments.

The souvenir fair in Yaremche is a must-visit place if you want to bring back the best souvenirs from your trip to the Carpathians. And near the market is the famous restaurant "Hutsulshchyna", built without a single nail, and the waterfall "Probiy" falls into the Prut River, which you can admire on a large suspension bridge.

"The best things in life are the people we love, the places we've been, and the memories we make along the way."

We thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to live a full life in war conditions, to travel, to dream...
