On June 4, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Remembrance of Children Who Died as a Result of Russia's Armed Aggression. This day is designed to perpetuate the memory of young Ukrainians whose lives were cut short by a brutal war. This date was established by the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dated June 1, 2021, taking into account the fact that since 2014, at least 260 children have died in the Donetsk, Luhansk and other regions as a result of armed aggression and other actions of the aggressor state against Ukraine. Since February 24, 2022, the relevance of this tragic day has only increased and affects the interests of the younger generation of Ukrainians not only in the Donetsk or Luhansk regions, but also throughout Ukraine. Every day we observe how the aggressor state commits war crimes against the population of Ukraine, including children, which bring terrible grief to Ukrainian families.
Thus, as of March 14, 2024, according to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 535 children died as a result of Russian aggression and more than 1,250 children were injured to varying degrees of severity. More than 19,500 Ukrainian children were forcibly deported to Russia or temporarily occupied territories. Tens of thousands of children lost loved ones - mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters, grandparents, and became orphans and half-orphans.
As part of the campaign "Voice of Children", which was initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, a commemorative event was held in our college, honoring children who died as a result of the war. The audience of this event was the 2nd-3rd year students of the specialty "Law". The event was also attended by the director of the college Vasyl Yuriyovich Tsaruk, deputy director for academic work Lyudmila Volodymyrivna Baldych, deputy director for educational work Oleksandr Grigorovich Talimonchuk, head of the land and legal department Serhiy Ivanovych Hulyuk, as well as teachers of the cyclical commission of legal and social disciplines.

Everyone present watched the videos and listened to the information prepared by the teacher with horror on their faces. Olga CHORNOBRYVA and a third-year student of the Law specialty By Bohdana TKACHUKAfter the event, all those present joined the action and hung bells, which are a symbol of this date and symbolize the voices of children innocently killed by Russia.

Let us remember that today we are not only honoring the memory of children who became victims of the war with the aggressor. Today we promise never to forget them, to remember them smiling, happy and carefree. After all, that is exactly what children should be like.
