On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, as part of the week of legal and social disciplines for students of the land and legal department, a meeting was held with Yulia Karpovets, a lawyer of the Rotada Charitable Foundation. The thematic event "Stop violence - choose a happy future!" was held at the legal education club "Themis" of the Rivne Regional Library.
Violence is any intentional action by one person towards another that violates their constitutional rights and freedoms and causes them moral harm, physical or mental health harm.
At the meeting, students received information about Mahatma Gandhi, the leader of the Indian independence movement, who dedicated his life to combating violence in all its forms and was killed by the hands of "classic" rapists. They discussed issues of non-violence in the state and political sphere, as well as non-violence in the family; analyzed a case study from various aspects of the legal and moral field; held a small flash mob "I am against violence". At the event, students received useful information from a lawyer about opposing violence in wartime, etc.
