and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine"
On January 29 and 31, teachers of the cyclical commissions of land management, legal, construction, economic, programming and information disciplines, VSP "RFK NUBiP of Ukraine" joined the cycle of webinars on the European integration of Ukraine, organized by the Scientific and Methodological Center of the VFPO with the support of the German-Ukrainian project FABU.
Webinar topics:
- "How does the EU work?"
- "Principles of European Agricultural Policy"
- "The Process of Ukraine's Accession to the EU. Consequences for Agriculture" Speaker - Dr. Peter Pascher.
The goal of the webinars is to familiarize Ukrainian project participants with the requirements, principles, and process of joining the EU.
After all, Ukraine's integration into the EU is quite difficult and has been going on for a long time. Ukraine's experience of European integration in wartime is unique. Resisting large-scale armed Russian aggression, suffering enormous human, financial and economic losses, the country has acquired the status of a candidate for EU membership. This is an important, but not the final stage of European integration. Even in wartime, it is necessary to carry out the reforms necessary for EU membership and to ensure conditions for Ukraine's post-war reconstruction according to European norms and standards, and to deepen partnership with the EU in sectoral areas.
Accordingly, Dr. Peter Pascher introduced the audience to the history of the European agricultural policy, legal principles, the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) for 2023-2027, accession to the EU with the adoption of EU legislation.
On January 31, 2025, the speaker-representative reported in detail on the main principles of the EU enlargement mechanism, the stages of Ukraine's accession to the EU, Ukrainian agriculture during EU enlargement, and support instruments and agriculture.
For reference.
Project "Promoting the Development of Vocational Education in Agricultural Colleges of Ukraine (FABU)" (https://agrarausbildung-ukraine.net/?lang=uk) between Germany and Ukraine is an instrument for the bilateral exchange of professional and political experience, views and policy decisions in the context of the transition to sustainable food systems.
The project is aimed at improving the methods and content of training and strengthening the practical component of the educational process with an orientation towards the labor market in the agricultural sector of Ukraine. It aims to expand the career opportunities of graduates and ensure a positive impact on the development of rural areas in Ukraine, through improving the methods and content of practical training in agricultural colleges and training centers, as well as introducing certain elements of dual training.
Information events on the European integration of Ukraine are interesting, relevant, and informative.
