The WAKO Ukrainian Kickboxing Championship among children, youth and juniors was held in the city of Brovary, Kyiv region, from March 20 to 23. These large-scale competitions brought together over a thousand athletes from 23 regions of Ukraine, who fought for the title of the strongest in their categories.
Among the participants of the prestigious tournament as part of the Rivne region team, a representative of the Zdolbunivka Youth and Sports School - a first-year student of the 11-P group of the VSP "Rivne Vocational College of NUBiP of Ukraine" performed with dignity. Denis StyupkoThe young athlete demonstrated excellent physical training, skill and indomitable character, winning three intense matches in the category full contact (weight category 67 kg).
Denys defeated rivals from the regional youth school of Donetsk, as well as athletes from the cities of Chernivtsi and Cherkasy. His confident performances allowed him to not only win gold medal Championship of Ukraine, but also to confirm the sports category for the second time Candidate for Master of Sports of Ukraine from kickboxing.
It is important to note that the athlete's training is being carried out by the coach-teacher of the Zdolbunivka Youth and Sports School, Nechyporuk Ivan, who made every effort to achieve this high result.
Thanks to the victory Denis Styupko received a license to play as part of the Ukrainian national team at the European Youth Championship, which will be held in September this year. We sincerely congratulate Denis and his coach on this significant achievement! We wish him new victories and successes on the international stage, and a worthy representation of Ukraine at the European level!
