As part of the international campaign "16 Days Against Violence" for students of the 2nd and 3rd years of the specialty "Law", teachers of the cyclical commission of legal and social disciplines CHORNOBRYVA Olga, LYAKHOVYCH Oksana and BASYUK Oksana conducted an interactive training aimed at raising awareness of the problem of violence in the family and in society. The purpose of the event was to form an idea of the concept of violence, including domestic violence, its causes, as well as to identify ways to eliminate violent behavior. In addition, attention was paid to developing in the participants a sense of dignity, awareness of their rights, the ability to analyze situations, draw conclusions and express their own point of view.
During the training, students participated in various interactive exercises. In particular, they were introduced to the main types of violence, such as physical, psychological, economic and sexual, and with the help of practical examples learned to recognize these forms of violent behavior. Participants analyzed life situations, determined which actions or words were manifestations of violence, and discussed how to prevent such cases. One of the important elements of the training was the formation of refusal skills that help to avoid risky situations. Also, during the event, information was provided about organizations and services that provide assistance to victims of violence, and algorithms of actions in such cases were discussed. Thanks to this information, students learned how to act in a situation when they themselves or other persons become victims of violence.
The training helped students to better understand the nature and manifestations of violence, develop self-confidence and readiness to act in difficult situations. The event was an important step in fostering a conscious attitude towards the problem of violence and forming an active position on its prevention.
