The day is also a persistent reminder of the need to fight for equal rights and opportunities for women in society.
In many countries, this day is celebrated as a day off, and women are given flowers, gifts, and words of gratitude and support. Also, various events such as conferences, seminars, and exhibitions are often held on this day, where issues related to women's rights, as well as their achievements and the challenges they face in the modern world, are discussed.
International Women's Day also serves as a platform to support and raise awareness about issues affecting women, such as violence, discrimination and pay inequality. It reminds us of the need to continue working towards a just and equal society for all its members.
