Student life is about new discoveries: a visit to the heart of history — Rivne Museum of Local Lore

Students of the 31st group, together with their curator, Matviychuk Tetyana Adamivna, spent an exciting day at the Rivne Regional Museum of Local Lore. This trip was a great opportunity for them to delve into the history of their native land, see unique exhibits, and learn more about cultural heritage.

The tour began with a story about the history of the museum, which was officially founded in 1940, although its origins date back to 1908. Particular attention was drawn to the activities of Edmund Okentsky, who assembled the first collections of archaeological finds, numismatics, and ethnographic exhibits.

The students were impressed by the natural history exhibition, where they saw stuffed animals of rare animals, herbariums, minerals, and remains of ancient creatures. No less interesting was the ethnographic part, where traditional Ukrainian clothing, household items, and crafts were presented, which allowed them to better understand the lives of their ancestors.

A special place in the excursion was occupied by the photo exhibition "I am", dedicated to Kostya "Istanbul" Yuzvyuk. His life path, full of struggle, good deeds and patriotism, made a deep impression on the students. They carefully examined the photos, listened to stories about his activities and thought about how much one brave guy did for the country.

The tour ended with lively discussions. The students shared their impressions, asked questions, and noted how important it is to preserve the history of their people. They left the museum full of inspiration, new knowledge, and pride in their native land. This day was not just an interesting journey for them, but a real discovery.
