Literary Living Room "Lina Kostenko: Poetry is Everything for Me" Department of General Education

On March 17, 2025, students of the 11th group joined a poetry event "Lina Kostenko: poetry is everything to me", which was held at the Rivne Regional Universal Scientific Library.

There are people who become legends while still alive. Myths, rumors, and legends are created around them, making it so difficult to distinguish truth from fiction. They remain silent, protecting their personal world from prying eyes and letting only close and trusted people into it.

This is Lina Vasylivna Kostenko – a poet, publicist, and public figure. And first of all, a woman who once wrote: “I chose my own destiny, and whatever happens to me, I have no complaints about Fate, my chosen one,” and remained true to these words throughout her life.

On March 19, the writer and poet in her sixties celebrates her 95th birthday.

College students who were visitors to the poetry event watched a meaningful video series about the poetess's life and creative path. They listened to video recordings of works by L. Kostenko performed by People's Artist of Ukraine Bohdan Stupka. Students Daryna Rud, Nazar Radko, and Artem Levchuk recited the poetess's poems.
