For the love of children
The world is holding on.
V. Sukhomlynsky.
Already traditionally June 1st is International Children's Day – “International Day for Protection of Children” is a beautiful holiday of joy and hope.

It is in children that the continuation of the human race and the fulfillment of their dreams and hopes for the better are possible. Adults want their children to grow up healthy and joyful, to glorify their families and their native land.
Children are our most precious treasure, our joy, and our future. That is why it is the sacred duty of the family, school, government, and the public to ensure the comprehensive development of the interests and abilities of Ukrainian youth, to guarantee them an appropriate level of upbringing, and to respect the rights of childhood.
The decision to celebrate International Children's Day on June 1 was made by the International Democratic Federation of Women in November 1949. The first International Children's Day was celebrated back in 1950. The UN supported the federation's initiative and declared the protection of the rights, health and life of the child one of the priorities in its activities. And already in 1989, the UN introduced the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
In Ukraine, this day has been celebrated since 1998. In 1991, Ukraine joined the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, according to which each state is obliged to respect and encourage the right of the child to participate fully in cultural and creative life, to ensure that he or she has full leisure and recreation and to facilitate the provision of appropriate opportunities for this.
However, today Ukraine faces new challenges in the field of protecting children's rights due to the escalation of violence and hostilities on the territory of our state. As a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation, more than 1,899 children were injured, 548 died, and more than 1,351 were injured to varying degrees of severity.
Dear adults! Let us warm with the warmth of our hearts, attention and affection those young fellow citizens whose lives do not resemble a good fairy tale, let us help them feel the joy of communication. We are confident that by joining forces, we will do everything to protect our children, to save them from the bitterness of disappointments and discouragement. After all, it is on us, adults, that the fate of every little person, and therefore the new generation of Ukrainians, depends.
