Students of the Cybersecurity major in the Information Technology department are actively working to improve their professional competencies by joining the global community of the Cisco Networking Academy. They recently attended a series of webinars from the "Find Yourself in the Future" series, which opened up new opportunities for development in the field of cybersecurity.
Students improved their cybersecurity skills and prepared for the rapid changes in the digital world. The webinar series covered topical topics that allow them to better understand the complexities of modern cybersecurity and prepare for career growth.

- Infrastructure security
Led by Mike Bullard, Cisco Infrastructure Security Expert, the webinar highlighted the importance of securing servers, data centers, and other key components of digital infrastructure. Participants gained insights into modern security technologies needed for a successful career in this field. - Threat monitoring
Daniela Herrera, Senior Technical Course Developer at Splunk, revealed the ins and outs of cyber threat monitoring. Real-world demonstrations gave students the opportunity to learn about the latest threat countermeasure strategies and increase their professional vigilance. - Incident response
Rachel Alagna, Cisco’s Chief Information Security Officer, explained the lifecycle of cyber incidents and shared practical recommendations for responding to them. Participants gained an understanding of the impact of data breaches and learned about opportunities to take Cisco courses for professional growth.
