On March 7, on the eve of the Land Surveyor's Day, teachers and students of the educational program "Geodesy and Land Management" joined the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference "Land Management Industry of Ukraine: Achievements, Challenges and Prospects", held by the Faculty of Agrobiotechnology of the Bila Tserkva National University. The scientific event is dedicated to the memory of the outstanding scientist, Academician Anatoly Stepanovych Danylenko - a man who made an invaluable contribution to the formation and development of modern land management science, land cadastre and land resources management.
The conference was attended by leading scientists, practitioners, representatives of government agencies and public organizations, and education seekers.
The main issues discussed at the conference included:
- the impact of armed aggression on land management;
- institutional, methodological and practical aspects of post-war restoration of land resources;
- the role of land management in overcoming modern challenges;
- the role of education and science in ensuring rational management of land resources;
- application of neural networks for effective processing of geographic information data;
- use of UAVs in topographic and geodetic works.
A report on "Digital Technologies in Agricultural Production" was delivered by teachers of land management disciplines Nelya RUSINA and Olga PETROVA.
The work of the conference was fruitful and meaningful, which confirms the relevance and importance of the issues discussed. The acquired knowledge and experience will help us in further work during the implementation of the educational program "Geodesy and Land Management".
