On May 2, 2025, a guest lecture on the discipline "Software Design" was held at the Separate Structural Unit "Rivne Professional College of the National University of Life Resources and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine" on the topic "The Concept of Testing. Validation and Verification. Types and Types of Testing". The event became a real event for students of the specialty "Information Technologies", as the class was joined by an invited expert - Middle C++ developer from Zagrava Games company Holombik Dmytro, who specializes in game and software development. The expert shared his practical experience, talking about real testing cases in the company's projects. He explained how different types of testing are used in practice, what tools are used for automation (for example, Google Test for C++), and how developers collaborate with QA teams. Students actively asked questions, including about a career path in programming, common mistakes during testing, and the requirements for C++ developers in the modern IT industry.
According to students, the class was extremely useful, as it combined theoretical knowledge with practical insights from a professional.
The guest lecture was an example of successful cooperation between the college and the IT industry. Rivne Vocational College expresses its gratitude to Zagrava Games and the invited expert Dmytro for their support in training future specialists. We plan to continue to involve professionals in the educational process so that our students receive relevant knowledge and are ready for the challenges of the modern labor market.
