Every year, the second Sunday of August in Ukraine is marked by the celebration of Builder's Day - a professional holiday not only for workers, but for all workers in the construction industry (engineers, foremen, repair specialists, housing and utilities workers, and others).

The initiator of the celebration of this day was Nikita Khrushchev back in 1956. In Ukraine, the holiday has been officially established since 1993 by the Decree of the President of Ukraine in support of the initiative of construction workers and the building materials industry.
Builders are a special people. Supporters of broad industrialization have repeatedly placed their hopes on them. They have always borne enormous responsibility in their work and almost always justified all expectations. Let us remember to whom we owe success in grandiose constructions and the creation of a wide variety of construction sites, of course, our dear builders.
With the development of new technologies, the work of builders is becoming more and more efficient, but it still remains one of the most labor-intensive occupations. Everyone knows that good builders have always been highly valued. Any management specialist will say that the high professionalism of a builder is a guarantee of the high quality of the work he produces.
Symbol of the holiday. Often at various events on this day you can see images of cranes, buildings and other symbols of construction, which emphasizes the specificity of the profession. As part of the celebration of the holiday, professional competitions are often held, where builders can demonstrate their skills and receive recognition from their colleagues.
More information can be found at the prepared book exhibition at the library and information center.
We wish all professionals and specialists in this field success and happiness!
Everything will be Ukraine!
