соціальний експеримент для молоді

A social experiment for young people

People who overcome the most difficult challenges that fall to their lot deserve our admiration, gratitude and respect. One of them is Yevhen Syvoplias - a 39-year-old war veteran, a serviceman of the 3rd OBShr from Chernihiv, who, despite losing his right leg due to traumatic amputation, continues to inspire others with his actions and initiatives. Yevhen is not only a hero on the battlefield, but also in peaceful life. He heads the public organization "Move the Rock", the goal of which is to develop a barrier-free space in Ukraine. His activities are aimed at ensuring that we can all better understand people with disabilities and learn to live in a world where there are no barriers - neither physical nor psychological.

As part of the promotion of barrier-free space, Yevhen Syvoplyas organizes unique events. For example, today, social experiments were held in the Rivne Regional Library for Youth (Youth Space "Nota"), the participants of which were students of the land law department:

«Two hours in the life of a visually impaired person", where students had the opportunity to experience what it's like to navigate the world without seeing it;

«Two hours of life for a person with lower limb dysfunction", which made it possible to try to move around in space without full mobility. Respect for people who have gone through difficult trials must be cultivated not only with words, but also with one's own actions. Disability is not a sentence, but a challenge. People like Yevhen Syvoplyas prove that nothing is impossible when there is a desire to live, develop and help others. Their example inspires us to fight our difficulties, to be strong and not indifferent. Awareness of the importance of equality and support must become part of our culture. Accessible space, tolerance and the opportunity to realize oneself are the basic rights of every person. Isolating or underestimating someone because of their physical abilities is the biggest mistake that society can make.

This event was held as part of the all-Ukrainian campaign "16 Days Against Violence".

We sincerely thank Yevhen Syvoplyas and the Youth Space "Nota" for the opportunity to participate in a social experiment. Such events teach empathy, understanding, and awareness of how important support, accessibility, and the creation of an inclusive environment are.

A video and interview with Ilya Bolotnikov, a student of the 21st group, about this event is available at by reference.
