The war will pass... Our common victory will come,
Ukraine will wear blue and yellow colors.
We will raise the flag on houses and roads,
We will hear the laughter and chatter of children again.

I will wear a bright embroidered dress,
Embroidered for me by my mother's hands,
I will walk in it proudly from dawn,
What a Ukrainian. And I will say: "NO TO WAR"!

Vyshyvanka Day is a celebration of national unity, cultural heritage, and Ukrainian identity.

Education seekers 11-IP groups joined the celebration by wearing colorful embroidered shirts that symbolize the deep traditions of our people, uniting generations and emphasizing the importance of preserving national values.

Embroidery Day symbolizes:

  • National unity — regardless of place of residence, social status, or age, embroidery unites Ukrainians all over the world.
  • Preserving traditions — it is an expression of respect for cultural heritage, for the generations that have passed down the art of embroidery from generation to generation.
  • Identity and pride in one's roots — embroidery is a code of the nation, a visual sign of Ukrainianness.
  • Peace and Spiritual Protection — It is believed that embroidery protects the one who wears it, which is why it is often called a "body amulet."
  • Freedom and independence — especially in the modern context, it has become a symbol of resistance, dignity, and the fight for the Ukrainian future.
