Memory that unites generations: college students visited the Chernobyl Museum

On the eve of the next anniversary of the tragedy at the Chernobyl NPP, students of our college visited the National Museum "Chernobyl" in the city of Kyiv.

This excursion was not just an educational event - it turned into a deep emotional and cognitive immersion into one of the most tragic pages of modern Ukrainian history. The museum impressed the participants with its atmosphere, rich audiovisual exhibitions, unique photographs, historical documents, and real relics.

The peculiarity of the National Museum "Chernobyl" is that it is the only place in Ukraine where materials about the Chernobyl accident, its causes, consequences, as well as the history of the development of the nuclear industry and the culture of Chernobyl Polissya are so fully and comprehensively presented.

During the tour, the students learned about the heroic efforts of the liquidators who stopped the global catastrophe at the cost of their own health and lives. They got acquainted with the museum's holdings, which include the world's largest collection of historical and cultural artifacts related to the Chernobyl disaster.

The museum's exhibits also highlight events related to the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, when a threat to nuclear energy facilities once again arose.

This trip became an important stage in forming the civic consciousness of young people, consolidating historical memory, and realizing the importance of preserving the truth about Chernobyl for future generations.
