14.03.2024 Stefania MALIMON held an open meeting of the ecological circle "Dzherelo" on the topic: "Cherry Mountain as an element of the Pohorinna National Nature Park." The participants of the event are members of the circle and students of specialty 193 "Geodesy and Land Management" of groups 11-Z and 21-Z.
Purpose of the meeting: to familiarize with the peculiarities of nature and problems of preserving vegetation of the botanical reserve of state importance "Cherry Hill".
Head of the environmental group Stefania MALIMON spoke about the work being done at the college by teachers and students on vegetation research Botanical reserve "Cherry Mountain"Based on the research materials of the reserve, a educational film "Cherry Mountain - a botanical reserve of national importance", whose authors are Stefania MALIMON and Igor KAPITULA (college biology teacher), which was demonstrated at the meeting. Thanks to the educational film, students were introduced to the Red Book plants of the reserve that require conservation and care.
Invited guest event Ph.D. Anatoliy KARPYUK – founder of the “Pohoryna Charity Foundation” introduced the audience to the activities of the charitable foundation aimed at educating and supporting our native land. In particular, he conducted a historical excursion on the research and study of the reserve "Vyshneva Gora", which in the future may become an interesting element of the National Nature Park "Pogorinya", where research, study, nature conservation and recreation will be combined. The lecturer focused on the preserved biodiversity of the Rivne region and, in particular, the reserve "Vyshneva Gora", the creation of an ecological network of the region.
Mr. Anatoliy also presented a book exhibition dedicated to the ecological sites of the Rivne region.
The meeting discussed issues of cooperation between our institution and the Pohoryna Charitable Foundation, regarding the implementation of environmental projects to study the state of plants in the Vyshneva Gora botanical reserve and the improvement of the territory.
