On April 9, 2024, at the Rivne Professional College of Information Technologies, the championship competition among institutions of professional pre-higher education of the Rivne region in chess among boys and girls was held. 9 KFKs took part in the competition. The VSP RFK NUBiP of Ukraine team also took part in the competition. In a fierce, exciting fight, our team defeated the following rivals - Dubno Medical School (2-1); Rivne Music School (3-0); Technical College of NUVGP (2-1); Rivne Medical School (2-1). Unfortunately, we lost in a head-to-head confrontation to the team of Dubno Pedagogical College with a score of (2-1), but this did not prevent our team from taking the overall team - 1st place according to the coefficient table.
Team composition: Knapets Vadym (21-P); Melnyk Khrystyna (21-D); Palchevsky Danylo (21-K).
The team was prepared for these competitions by the Defense of Ukraine teacher, Volodymyr Khrystyanovych.
