The basics of data structure classification are outlined. The levels of data structure organization and the most common data models are examined in detail. Methods of representing data structure models in computer memory are presented. Data sorting and search algorithms are considered, examples of their implementation are considered, and algorithmic complexity is justified. Students can use program fragments to independently develop their own programs when performing laboratory and course assignments. The implementation of data structures is considered using the example of the C++ programming language and the main containers of the STL library are described.
