On March 25, 2025, during the Construction Disciplines Week, the Engineering Drawing Olympiad started.

For modern man, verbal and written communication is a habitual and constant necessity of life. However, long before writing appeared, people learned to perform graphic images. The complexity of the architecture of palaces, temples, fortifications and other structures gives reason to believe that they were built on the basis of drawings.

The life of a modern person is saturated with a wide variety of graphic images: drawings, diagrams, schemes, plans, maps, graphs, charts, etc. In these conditions, the verbal form of transmitting and storing information has lost its universality. The language of graphic images knows no boundaries, because it is equally understandable to all people, regardless of what language they speak. The role of drawings in life and modern production cannot be overestimated. Everything, or almost everything, created by mankind: the buildings in which we live, work and spend our leisure time; the means of transport on which we ride; clothes, shoes, etc. - was created according to drawings. A drawing is the main design document, the most important means that contributes to technical progress. Therefore, knowledge of the basic rules of drawing, the ability to read drawings and perform simple graphic work are indispensable conditions for high general and technical culture, which are necessary for every educated person.

So our students from group 22-B competed for the title of the smartest and most creative!
