National College Poetry Reading Week

As part of the National Poetry Reading Week, students of the 12th grade, along with Ukrainian literature teacher Oksana Talabska, joined the all-Ukrainian event.

Students recited poems by their favorite Ukrainian poets, talked about the life and creative path of the geniuses of the word, and analyzed the meaning of poetry in the modern world.

The students paid great attention to the classic poets: Taras Shevchenko, Ivan Franko, Lesya Ukrainka, and Maksym Rylsky.

The students noted that they respect the poets of the sixties for their courage and struggle for Ukrainian culture. Vasyl Symonenko, Lina Kostenko, Vasyl Stus are a symbol of indomitability and truth for the younger generation.

Students are particularly interested in musical interpretations of poetry. Modern musical groups "Odin v Kanoe", "Zhadan i Sobaky", "Sestry Telnyuk" use poems of the sixties, which is extremely impressive to students. In particular, songs to the words of Lina Kostenko and Vasyl Stus attracted the attention of the younger generation, so they read the poems of these poets with pleasure. National Poetry Week is a real celebration of the art of the word, which continues to live and touch hearts even in modern conditions.
