"Mathematics is a majestic structure created by the human imagination for the knowledge of the Universe"

Le Corbusier

Today, March 22, the world celebrates a new scientific holiday - World Mathematics Day. This wonderful science surrounds us everywhere, developing analytical thinking and helping to solve life's problems. Mathematics is not only dry numbers, but also a powerful tool for exploring the world through calculations and abstract models.

Ukraine has given the world a galaxy of outstanding mathematicians whose names are forever inscribed in the history of science. Mykhailo Ostrogradsky, Heorhiy Voronyi, Volodymyr Levitsky, Mykhailo Kravchuk, Stepan Banakh, Mykola Bogolyubov, Viktor Glushkov – their discoveries became the foundation for the development of many fields of knowledge.

We are proud to celebrate the achievements of modern Ukrainian mathematics. Maryna Vyazovska, a graduate of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, solved the problem of the centuries, dedicated to the packing of balls in eight-dimensional space. Her discovery, which fits into 21 pages, is of great importance for correcting errors in mobile phones, the Internet, and space exploration.

As part of the celebration of World Mathematics Day, students of grades 11-P and 11-D, under the guidance of mathematics teachers Larisa Trygubets and Iryna Baranovskaya, held a series of info sessions, during which they talked about the history of mathematics, its significance in different cultures, shared interesting mathematical facts and paradoxes, and demonstrated the practical application of mathematics in everyday life, emphasizing its benefits in various fields.

We congratulate the students and teachers of the college on this wonderful holiday! We wish that your achievements will multiply, and mathematical spaces will open new horizons!
