Information meeting with representatives of the Main Department of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine

The trip was held to deepen students' knowledge about the functioning of state financial control bodies, in particular the role of the treasury in ensuring effective management of public funds.

The group was welcomed by a former student of the Higher Educational Service of the Russian Federation of Universities of Sciences of Ukraine Smaly Olga Volodymyrivna – Head of the Western Interregional Department of the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service.

During the meeting, representatives of the institution conducted an interesting tour and introduced future financiers to the main areas of treasury activity: Head of the Main Department of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine in Rivne region Mykola Ivanovych Kostyuk introduced the main areas of work of the department and structural divisions.

Head of the Department of Budget Revenues and Financial Resources Operations of the Main Treasury Department Mazur Andriy Volodymyrovych reported on the receipt of state funds into the treasury of the city of Rivne and their purpose.

Deputy Head of the Department for Serving Fund Administrators and Other Clients of Local Budgets, Department for Serving Fund Administrators and Other Clients of the Main Treasury Department Kropovensky Vadym Viktorovych conducted a field trip to the State Treasury Service.

Head of the Accounting Department of the Accounting Department of Budget Execution Operations of the Main Treasury Department Makarchuk Olena Pavlivna talked about conducting various operations and preparing reports.

Acting Head of the Personnel Department of the Main Directorate of the Treasury Matviychuk Olena Mykolayivna prepared an interesting quiz for students.

Particular attention was paid to the following topics:

• organization of cash execution of the state budget;
• mechanism for making payments by budgetary institutions;
• electronic public finance management systems;
• control over the targeted use of budget funds.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions to service employees, learn about the real challenges that treasurers face, and hear advice on future employment in the public sector.

This visit became an important part of the students' professional orientation, as it provided an opportunity to see how the theoretical knowledge gained during their studies was applied in practice.

Such activities contribute to the formation of a responsible attitude towards the profession among young people and an awareness of the importance of financial discipline in public administration.
