As part of the Construction Disciplines Week, students of 21-D groups, led by teacher Oleksandr YUSCHUK, were given an excursion to the production organization of Ecobruk LLC.
All types of products of the Ecobruk brand are manufactured by the volumetric vibropressing method using leading European technologies on modern concrete forming equipment from the German company KNAUER ENGINEERING GmbH.
The peculiarities of this technology are that the concrete mixture used for the manufacture of paving slabs and wall blocks is characterized by an ultra-hard (semi-dry) consistency. Such a concrete mixture contains a small amount of water, which, with proper compaction, ensures high strength and durability of the cement stone.
Compaction is achieved by combining intense vibration and pressure in a molding machine. The vibropressing technology also provides high productivity, allowing you to fulfill your orders in the shortest possible time.
Director of Ecobruk LLC, Boris Schneider, told and demonstrated to the students about the features of the enterprise's work and all stages of manufacturing products from ultra-hard vibropressed concrete.
Students learned that the following raw materials are used to make paving slabs and concrete blocks:
- pure Portland cement of the PCI-500 brand;
- washed quartz sand of the required size;
- granite crushed stone of several fractions;
- additives-modifiers and pigments produced by leading foreign companies.
All components undergo a quality control procedure and necessary preparation (averaging of properties and screening on a vibrating screen) before use.
Two types of concrete mix are used in the manufacture of paving slabs:
- a mixture for the lower (structural) layer, which contains coarse aggregate;
- a mixture for the top (decorative) layer, which uses fine gravel (to increase abrasion resistance and roughness) and dispersed inorganic pigments (to give the required color).
During the excursion, students received a lot of new information about such a direction in the construction industry as the production of building materials.
