Detachable Subdivision
"Rivne Professional College of
National University of Life
and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine"
A meeting of students, faculty, and staff with representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine was held at the college. The event was aimed at raising awareness of safety rules.
During the meeting, the participants of the educational process were told about the basic rules for handling explosive objects, improvised explosive devices, classification of explosive objects, first aid, rules of safe behavior of students and teachers. Those present learned how to recognize dangerous objects, avoid potential risks and act correctly in case of detection of suspicious objects.
Special attention was paid to the military danger, objects remaining after hostilities, and their negative impact on the civilian population. Representatives of the Educational and Methodological Center for Civil Protection and Life Safety of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Andriy Borisovich Moshchuk and others emphasized that even a small explosive object can pose a serious threat to the life and health of people. That is why it is important not only to know the rules of safe behavior, but also to spread this knowledge among loved ones and acquaintances.
First aid algorithms were also discussed, including stopping bleeding, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and assistance in various emergency situations. Participants were able to gain valuable advice on responding in critical situations when speed and correctness of actions are crucial.
Such activities are important for increasing the level of safety and awareness of students, as the knowledge gained can help save lives in unforeseen situations.
The highlight of the practical training with representatives of the State Emergency Service was the practical part of the lesson involving special equipment. Such lessons are always interesting and intense, because firefighters pay attention to the relationship between theory and practice. This time, students and teachers were able to try on real rescuer equipment, get acquainted with and try out a special tool, and at the end, those who wanted to could feel themselves in the role of a firefighter by extinguishing a simulated fire from a fire hose of a fire truck or fire extinguisher.
As the deputy director Serhiy Kovalchuk assured, the awareness of students and employees of our college with fire safety rules is at a fairly high level. However, training activities will continue in the future so that everyone can master the basic skills of firefighting. After all, experience in this matter gives a chance not to get lost in a critical moment, to act in a timely and adequate manner. To save in extreme conditions both your life and health, and the lives of students, colleagues, your relatives and friends.
The college's cooperation with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine continues.
