Ecology and us! April 22 – International Earth Day

The founder of Earth Day is the famous American public figure John Morton. He launched a campaign to plant trees and shrubs in the 1840s in order to develop a caring attitude towards the environment in people. The goal is to draw public attention to our common home - planet Earth. This day is an occasion to once again think about what surrounds us. As a result of his life activities, man causes significant damage to our planet, which can lead to its destruction.

Practical tips for every day on how to be environmentally friendly:

  1. Use energy-saving bulbs. They consume 3-5 times less electricity than incandescent bulbs.
  2. Turn off your computer and TV at night.
  3. Sort your trash. Separately collected waste is a secondary raw material.
  4. Go shopping with eco-bags.
  5. Try not to buy single-use products: dishes, napkins, razors, pens. Give preference to reusable items.
  6. Get rid of uneconomical equipment.
  7. Take a shower instead of a bath.
  8. Choose household chemicals correctly.
  9. Hand in your waste paper. A tree is cut down to make 60 kg of paper.
  10. Choose what is good for you and nature. Choose environmentally friendly products grown without the use of fertilizers and pesticides.
  11. Donate unnecessary things. Give them to other people, this way you give a second life to things that will be useful.
  12. Walk more often. Walking does not harm nature and is beneficial to your health.

Remember that the Earth is a priceless gift given to us by nature, it is our common Home, so protecting it is our sacred duty! Let's preserve our Earth for ourselves and future generations!
