56th ZLOT SPORTS TOURISM CHAMPIONSHIP AMONG STUDENTS OF THE DONETSK REGION, DEDICATED TO EUROPE DAY

The 56th Sports Tourism Championship among students of Donetsk region, dedicated to Europe Day, took place online. The event was organized by the Donetsk Regional Center for Tourism and Local Lore of Students with the support of the Department of Emergency Rescue, Professional and Applied Physical Training and Tourism of the Ukrainian State Flight Academy in Kropyvnytskyi.

This year, 18 teams from 4 regions of Ukraine — Donetsk, Odessa, Rivne, and Sumy — participated in the competition. There were 67 participants in total, and students from our college participated in the competition as follows:

  • Fedorov Serhiy, student 13 – group leader (team captain)
  • Zamlynna Sofia, student 11 – Group D
  • Borovyk Maksym student 31 – group leader
  • Borchuk Angelina student 31 – group leader
  • Kudelya Oleksandr student 31 – group leader

The rally program included four competition blocks that combined theory and practice:

  • "Team Business Card" is a creative competition in the format of a video presentation, where participants demonstrated creativity, cohesion, and team identity.
  • "Basics of Civil Defense" and "Providing First Aid" are practical and test tasks aimed at developing readiness for action in emergency situations.
  • "Guess the Person" is an intellectual competition on knowledge of historical figures, culture, tourism, and European values.

A special feature of the championship was the online competition stage in the Telegram group, where teams received tasks in stages, sent answers, and only after correct execution did they move on to the next level. This format allowed participants to demonstrate not only their knowledge, but also their reaction speed, team cohesion, and analytical skills.

The championship proved once again: extracurricular education is not only the development of technical and tourism skills, but also a powerful tool for forming civic awareness, critical thinking, and leadership qualities.

We sincerely thank all participants, coaches, judges, and event partners for their active participation, support, and high level of organization!

Ahead are new peaks, new challenges and new victories!
