On March 28, 2025, a solemn ceremony was held to celebrate the winners of the 15th International Language and Literary Competition of Pupils and Students named after T. G. Shevchenko in the city of Kyiv

The award ceremony for the winners of the 15th International Language and Literary Competition of Pupils and Student Youth named after T. G. Shevchenko took place on March 28, 2025 in the city of Kyiv in the modern front office of Mariupol State University.

The solemn event was attended by Artem SAMCHUK, a student of the 31st group of the construction department of the Higher Educational Institution "Rivne Vocational College of NUBiP of Ukraine", who was awarded a first-degree diploma and presented with a good selection of books, as well asteacher of Ukrainian literature and English language Victoria TROCYUK, who prepared the winner of the competition. During the celebrations, words of pride for the younger generation and gratitude to teachers who help educate future creators of Ukrainian science, literature, and art were heard.

Among the honored guests who came to congratulate the talented youth was Olga BUDNYK, the Advisor-Employer of the President of Ukraine on the Fund of the President of Ukraine for Support of Education, Science and Sports, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee. She thanked the pupils and students for their national consciousness and emphasized that Ukrainian studies is more than a philological direction, it is a matter of much greater scope. Therefore, every Ukrainian, wherever he or she is, should carry within himself or herself the identity of his or her native land and be proud of it.  

On behalf of the Mariupol State University community, Rector Mykola TROFIMENKO addressed the guests. The head thanked the pupils and students who show sincere interest in their native language and culture, and also wished them never to stop at what they have achieved, to develop comprehensively and to protect what is dearest to them.

The head of the jury of the Taras Shevchenko Competition, Dmytro DROZDOVSKY, thanked the young people for what they write, because it is with their works, their energy, their strength, and their faith that they shape the picture of tomorrow's victorious future.

The patrons of the competition were brothers Ivan and Igor Stepurin, representatives of of the public union "Ukrainian Association of Publishers and Book Distributors". Ihor Stepurin thanked the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the fact that today we can print, read, write... The philanthropist also reminded students to take advantage of the wonderful opportunity when they turn 18, to go to the state mobile application "Diya" and issue a free certificate for the purchase of Ukrainian books worth 975 hryvnias in Ukrainian bookstores. The winners of the competition are traditionally awarded not only with diplomas and nice gifts, but also with scholarships from the President of Ukraine. This initiative is another step towards encouraging young people to take an active part in the cultural life of the country and create its future.
