IT MARATHON "ELECTRONIC COMMERCE: FROM IDEA TO PROJECT"
Today, November 3, 2023, started "IT Marathon "E-Commerce: From Idea to Project"The IT marathon is designed to unite educational institutions of Ukraine and IT companies in order to develop effective e-commerce solutions for the development of their own business and the country's economy using IT solutions and identifying professional abilities in education seekers.
Therefore, today the institution was visited by Friends who helped start the IT marathon:
- Andriy Khmelnyk, Executive Director of Rivne IT Education (Rivne IT Education Cluster);
- Angelina LIUBAS, SMM-specialist, marketer.
Moderator Oksana Nikitska told the teams and participants of the marathon about the conditions for the IT marathon. It takes place as part of a series of events dedicated to Student Day.
To get the participants off to a good start, speakers shared their own experience in creating and using e-commerce products. E-commerce has long become a familiar part of our lives, but interest in it is only growing every year. This is not surprising, because selling, promoting, and buying goods online is usually much more convenient and profitable than offline. The main thing is to understand how e-Commerce works and learn how to use its capabilities on 100%.
STAGES OF IMPLEMENTATION IT MARATHON
"ELECTRONIC COMMERCE: FROM IDEA TO PROJECT"
- November 03, 2023– opening of the marathon, speeches by speakers
- November 4 – 10 November – team work on creating e-commerce projects
- November 11, 2023 – finale of the IT marathon, demonstration of the projects created by the teams.
The participating teams selected topics for creating e-commerce projects through a random draw.
CONDITIONS FOR CREATING A GAME PROTOTYPE
- come up with a team name;
- generate a project idea;
- develop an e-commerce product according to the variant;
- create a promotion (advertising) strategy;
- demonstrate the result at the final meeting..
The important thing is that there are no restrictions on teams choosing the type of e-commerce. It all depends on the teams' skills and desire to work effectively.
Ingredients of a successful e-commerce product:
- Attractive and intuitive design.
- Presentation of the product range.
- Product description, photos, specifications, price, availability, etc.
- Search and sort function.
- Placing an order.
- Payment system.
- Delivery and tracking.
- Contact information and support.
So, the conditions for a successful start have been created! Therefore, we would like to wish the teams successful development of their projects and worthy presentation before a qualified jury on November 11, 2023.
The final stage has ended. IT Marathon "Electronic Commerce: From Idea to Project", which A separate structural unit "Rivne Professional College of the National University of Life Resources and Environmental Management of Ukraine" held on the occasion of Student's Day.
We managed to unite Ukrainian educational institutions, IT companies, and SMM specialists in order to develop effective e-commerce solutions for developing our own business and the country's economy using IT solutions and identifying professional abilities in education seekers.

November 11, 2023 – the final stage took place, which all twelve teams reached. The teams demonstrated the projects they created. We got a good result!
The teams were evaluated by professionals:

- Angelina LOVER, SMM-specialist, marketing specialist,
- Diana KARDASH, SMM Video maker,

- Lyudmila PRONCHUK,teacher of “Electronic Commerce” VSP "RFK NUBiP Ukraine",
according to the following criteria:
- Identity (font, logo, slogan, color scheme, graphic elements)
- Research on the subject area
- Promotion strategy (UTP advertising)
- Availability of the main components of an e-commerce product
So, the presentation of the projects! A beautiful, warm, technically equipped conference hall, a storage room nearby! Moderator Oksana Nikitska told the marathon participants that the final is being held in this hall, thanks to Public Organization “Equal IT Education”.
The teams listened carefully to the competitors, because the victory depends on how the project is presented! The students behaved responsibly and even tried to develop an online store “from scratch”. The ideas for e-sales are wonderful, unique. This is not only a project for a future trademark, but also strategies that will allow the distributed topics of the IT marathon to sell products in order to receive marginal income.
Therefore, the jury discussed the presentations and decided the following:
- noted the presented projects;
- do not stop at what has been done and work through inaccuracies;
- to recognize creative solutions in e-commerce development;
- highlight unique ideas;
- pay attention to the presentation.
The graduation ceremony was joined by graduates of the programming department, Serhiy and Artem, who treated them to pizza. Factory and invited them to their place to taste the dishes.
Therefore, winner of the IT marathon "Electronic Commerce: From Idea to Project" became a team OPIUM (VSP “Rivne FC NUBiP of Ukraine”). Second place teams placed Boyar legalery (VSP “Boyarsky FC NUBiP of Ukraine”) and MEGU_V (PVNZ International University of Economics and Humanities named after Academician S. Demyanchuk). Third place teams placed Druzhba (VSP “Mukachiv FC NUBiP of Ukraine”), MEGU-Dev-Labs (PVNZ International University of Economics and Humanities named after Academician S. Demyanchuk) and Gladiators (VSP “Rivne FC NUBiP of Ukraine”).
